Joz Norris and Matthew Highton’s new film will be having a first screening at the Hackney Picture House on the 3rd March. The film is produced by Stuart Laws production company Turtle Canyon and will be shown along side Norris and Highton’s debut collaboration “Double Act”.

The Comedy Project is returning to the Soho Theatre this March for its 3rd year. It will run every Monday throughout the month, showcasing fantastic new writing from well-established writers performed alongside material from the best in up-and-coming comedy talent
The scripts and casts have now been announced and can be found on the Soho website. The season will feature scripts from Eleanor Morton, Toby Williams and Ros Adler.
Alison Thea- Skot is back for her third appearance on Radio 4 Extra’s topical sketch show Newsjack.

Desiree Burch has written and stared in one of this years Sky Valentines Day Shorts, available to watch on the Sky website. The 10 minute comedy shows her as a single lady and her gay best friend con their way to free stuff by ‘proposing’ in public, with various twists and turns along the way.

We are very pleased to announce that George Rigden has been nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award, with the final taking place as part of the Leicester Comedy Festival on the 25th February.
The prestigious award is now in its 23rd year, with previous winners including Josh Widdicombe, Johnny Vegas, Jason Manford, Seann Walsh and Rhod Gilbert. More information on the show can be found here.

We are very pleased to say that Bennett Arron has just been commissioned for a third series on BBC Wales, with “Bennett Arron Worries About..”.
In the show he discusses all the things which worry him and make him anxious from going to the doctors to the legal system. He had a second series air earlier this year in July, you can listen to a clip here. His third series will be on air and iPlayer later in 2017.
This February Luke Courtier brings his new play to The Vaults Festival. The Texas Tax Man runs from the 8th – 12th and is a fantastic comedy about 19th Century cowboys and tax return deadlines! It features a great cast, including Luke himself and takes place in the wonderful Waterloo Vaults venue.

On the 20th December Hattie Hayridge will be taking part in a Christmas celebrity special of “University Challenge”. She will appear in the second episode of the series, representing Sussex Uni alongside Dermot Murnaghan, they will be competing against Kent Uni, represented by Paul Ross, Shiulie Ghosh. First rounds continue until the 26th December before moving into the Semi Finals, so fingers crossed! Click here for more details.
