Geoff is a singer, songwriter, TV writer and screenwriter. He was lead singer with both new wave band the Leyton Buzzards and 80’s dance band Modern Romance with whom he enjoyed a string of hits internationally. He’s had songs featured in TV shows such as ‘Queer as Folk’, movies such as ‘Shrek’ and the documentary ‘I Am Divine’, on the life of the John Walters counter culture star. Geoff worked with Divine and wrote her anthemic hit tune ‘You Think You’re A Man’.
Geoff is currently writing a new feature script for producer Thomas Langmann (The Artist) and Cranbury Productions. Earlier this year he wrote and produced ‘Tales Of The City’ for indy singer Lisa Ronson.
After segueing into TV, Geoff wrote for Jonathan Ross, ‘Birds Of A Feather’ and his own series ‘A Many Splintered Thing’, amongst others. He currently has a new TV comedy, ‘A Town Called Stupid’ co-written with Emmy Award winning ‘Veep’ writer David Quantick,in development with What Larks. Geoff has two features, ‘Ska Wars’ and ‘Dead Men Talking’ in development with indy Starchild Pictures. He wrote the high school body swap feature ‘It’s A Boy Girl Thing’ and also ‘Kinky Boots’. The latter of which grew into a globally successful stage show and picked up 7 Tony Awards during its long Broadway run. Geoff is currently adapting ‘Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ with Sir Tim Rice and Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber for a CGI feature with Sir Elton John’s Rocket Pictures. He’s also writing his first stand up show. Go figure.
