Jacob Edwards


Jacob Edwards is a multi-talented comedian, known as a versatile character stand-up, comic actor, TV host and comedy writer.

His television credits include ‘Drifters’ (Channel 4), ‘Porters’ (Dave), ‘Let’s Dance for Comic Relief’ (BBC 1), ‘Fool Britannia’ (ITV), ‘10 O’Clock Live’ (Channel 4), ‘I Live with Models’ (Comedy Central) and ‘The IT Crowd’ (Channel 4). Jacob was a regular on the last series of ‘Live at the Electric’ (BBC 3), writing and performing as his own character creation Roger Showbusiness.

His film credits include ‘Burke and Hare’, where he was cast by director John Landis (‘The Blues Brothers’) to appear alongside Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis.

Jacob has fronted numerous commercial campaigns for major worldwide brands, recently appearing alongside George Clooney for Nespresso, he is also currently the face of First Direct bank in the UK.

His other commercial credits include Toyota, Virgin Atlantic, Heineken, Jaguar, Phillips, Square Space, Currys PC World, Cheerios, Oreo, Rowenta, AXA, Qualcomm, Maltesers, Secret Sales, Unibet, O2 and Capital FM among others.

He also appeared as Ed Miliband in the worldwide viral hit ‘Change the Tune’, a party political broadcast for the Green Party.

As himself, Jacob hosted ‘CTRL Freaks’ (London Live), a ground-breaking entertainment series where he took control of contestants’ lives through their social media feeds.

He has also hosted online series ‘Movie Mates’ for Orange and ‘Success TV’ for Nokia, and has appeared as a panelist on shows including ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ (Channel 5).

Jacob is a veteran of the West End stage and the Edinburgh Festival, performing in highly successful self-written shows at both the prestigious Pleasance Courtyard and Assembly Rooms.

The Skinny described his most recent solo Fringe show as ‘electrifying’ and ‘violently funny’ in a 5-star review, while Three Weeks called him ‘an urbane, moronic, hedonistic clown’ and ‘hilarious’. Chortle pointed out his ‘pure brilliance’ and ‘exceptional comic timing’, with Fest describing him as ‘gruesomely funny with uproarious results’.
