Infectiously surreal double act, The Delightful Sausage was formed by comedians Chris Cantrill (★★★★★, Ed Fest Mag) and Amy Gledhill (“silly, vivacious and very funny” Richard Herring) in 2016.
Their unorthodox and thrilling take on the traditional double act formula quickly helped build a dedicated cult following in North West.
In 2017 they took their debut show, Cold Hard Cache, to the Edinburgh Fringe where it was enthusiastically lapped up by audiences and critics alike. Ed Fest Mag called them “One of the best adverts for modern alternative comedy”. It was also picked as one of the ‘Best Shows of the Fringe’ by The Skinny and one of the ‘Three to See’ by ThreeWeeks.
The show has since toured the UK, including a run at the prestigious Soho Theatre and has been recorded for comedy streaming service NextUp.
In 2018, The Delightful Sausage became finalists in the Leicester Square Theatre’s annual Sketch Off competition.
