Alison Thea - Skot

About Alison

Alison is a critically acclaimed actress, character comedian and writer. She has worked extensively from Shakespeare’s Globe to Basil Brush for the BBC and was nominated for Best Actress at The British Independent Film Festival for her role in the short film ‘Desire’.

She began her venture into comedy with a sketch group under the direction of Foster’s Award Winner Adam Riches. Shortly after she launched on to the circuit as a solo character act using her knock out singing voice to play ‘Britain’s Number One Vocal Coach’, and in her first year reached the final of both The Funny’s Funny and Funny Women Competitions. She has taken four solo character comedy shows to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Human Tuning Fork, Miss Adventures, Some Like It Thea-Skot and It’s Thea-Skot in here (so take off all your clothes). At the fringe she has enjoyed sell out the runs, received raved reviews, was selected as part of The Telegraph’s Best of the Fringe, Mervyn Stutter’s Pick of the Fringe and featured on The BBC Culture Show. Her last two shows have also been selected for runs at The Soho Theatre.

She was recently commissioned to write, produce and star in a commercial for Samsung as well as having also written several online comedy sketches which have been featured on The Poke, The British Comedy Guide and Chortle.

With a plethora of voices and accents, she has worked extensively in audio drama, voicing many creations for Big Finish Productions, Audio books and recently Radio 4’s News Jack.
