Gráinne Maguire is an award winning stand up comedian and comedy writer.

She has appeared on Dave’s UnSpun with Matt Forde, Comedy Central’s Alternative Comedy Experience, RTE’s Cutting Edge, Channel 5’s When The News Goes Horribly Wrong and can be heard on Radio 4’s The Now Show, More Money Than Sense, An Idiot’s Guide, Breaking The News and Radio 2’s What If?

She is a regular contributor to The Sarah Brett Show on 5 Live and has appeared on BBC1’s Question Time, Sky News, ITV1’s The Agenda, Radio 4’s Women’s Hour, Pienaar's Politics and Good News Bad News.

Grainne has written on a wide variety of comedy and entertainment shows, including The Alternative Election Special, E4’s 8/10 Cats, Too Hot to Handle and Late Night Mash. She is a regular writer on Channel 4s Last Leg. She is also an experienced awards writer having written on scripts for the BAFTA and MTV Awards.

A 2015 an episode of Newsjack that she script-edited with Sarah Campbell won the Rose D’Or Award for Best Radio Comedy.

She has performed at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Galway Comedy Festival, The Aarhus Comedy Festival and The Kilkenny Cats Laugh.

She was nominated for Best Show at the 2016 Leicester Comedy Festival and Best Show by Broadway World at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

She has done tour support for Rob Delaney and Stewart Francis.
