About Sikisa
Sikisa is a critically acclaimed stand-up comedian, writer, producer, award winning cabaret/burlesque performer and qualified immigration solicitor.
Her authentic, vivacious personality and on-stage presence mark her as one of the most in demand acts and hosts on the comedy circuit. The touch paper for her comedy career was lit when she won the public vote in the 2017 BBC New Comedy Award Award and since then, she has quickly made a name for herself, winning The 99 Club Comedy Bursary Prize, being nominated for a Chortle Award for best MC and earning three nominations at The Leicester Comedy Festival.
These accolades have served as a springboard to Sikisa amassing an impressive list of TV & Radio credits including; Live At The Apollo (BBC), Recurring in three series of The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Jonathan Ross' Comedy Club, two series of Sorry I Didn't Know (ITV) and three series of Comedy Central Live.
With regards to radio, she has guested on DM's Are Open, Newsjack, Jessica Fostekew's Sturdy Girls Club, Kiri's Comedy Club, Comedy Club at Machynlleth, You Heard It Here First, Museum of Curiosity and Mark Watson Talks A Bit About Life, all for BBC Radio 4.
She can also be heard on Evil Genius & Perfect Sounds (BBC Sounds), Off Menu (Acast) and Films to be Buried With. As well as hosting her own, WrestleClub UK podcast.
Sikisa’s sold out, Life of the Party debuted at The Pleasance Courtyard in 2022. It gained multiple 4 star reviews and earned a transfer to the Soho Theatre. She followed up with the critically acclaimed, Hear Me Out in 2023 which gained her her first five star review. A Soho Theatre transfer and UK tour then followed.
Sikisa is currently working on her third hour for Edinburgh 2025 whilst simultaneously being booked at many of the UK's flagship comedy venues including The Comedy Store, Frog & Bucket, Komedia, Angel Comedy, Live At The Chapel and festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude & Download. She is also the co-host of cult live show 'Comedians Beer Mat Flipping' with Stuart Laws which has had iterations at The Edinburgh Fringe and The Pleasance Theatre, Islington.
Sikisa has supported Michael Che, Kiri Pritchard-Mclean, Ed Gamble & Judi Love on tour.
As well as being a versatile and dynamic performer, Sikisa leads on the Soho Theatre Stand Up Labs Course, working with young comics to help them refine their work. She herself is an alumni of The Soho Theatre Young Company.
